Who is responsible
LD Hair Professional Ltd (company number 16175566) is the hair studio run by Laura Daniel. The studio and registered office are at 4 Galapagos Grove, Newton Leys, Milton Keynes, MK3 5NX. The company is responsible for personal information used for this website and enquiries; Laura is your contact.
Email ldhairprofessional@gmail.com or call 07947 565665. This notice explains the website and contact journey; ask Laura directly about records kept for your salon appointment.
Browsing the website
You can read the site without an account. There is no account system, online payment form, mailing-list form, advertising tracker or analytics tool in this website. Fonts and photographs are served with the site.
Your browser and the website’s hosting service exchange technical information such as an IP address, page request, browser details and connection data to deliver files and keep the service working. Hosting and security providers may process operational records for that purpose.
Your booking enquiry
Choosing a service prepares a draft message in your browser. Editing the draft does not send it to Laura or save it to this website’s server or browser storage. Closing or reloading the page clears the website draft. Copy message uses your device’s clipboard only when you choose it.
Continuing to WhatsApp opens the message and the studio number with WhatsApp. WhatsApp receives the link information at that point, even before you press Send in its app. Email, phone and social links similarly open the service you choose. Only send information you want Laura to receive.
An enquiry may include your name, contact details and the service or appointment information you supply. Please avoid adding unnecessary medical or other sensitive details to the initial message; ask Laura how to share information needed for a consultation.
Why information is used
Technical delivery and protection of the website are based on the legitimate interest in operating a reliable, secure website. Responding to a general enquiry is based on the legitimate interest in communicating with prospective clients. Information necessary to arrange a requested appointment is used to take steps towards, or perform, your booking agreement.
The street map supports the legitimate interest in helping visitors find the studio. It requests map tiles only when the map approaches the visible part of the page. You can disable interactive maps in Cookies & preferences. Records that must be kept to meet a legal obligation are handled for that obligation. This website does not make automated decisions or profile visitors.
The street map
The custom map uses a locally served Leaflet library and street-map images supplied by OpenStreetMap. When a map becomes visible, your browser connects to the tile service. The provider receives technical request information, including your IP address, browser details and referring website.
Interactive maps are enabled by default. You can turn them off in Cookies & preferences, apply the choice for this visit or save it on this device. Disabling maps removes them from the page; it does not erase records already received by the provider. The written address and external directions link remain available.
How long information is kept
The website does not retain your draft enquiry. Visit choices and the played-introduction flag last for the browser session. Preferences you explicitly save on this device remain until you reset them or clear browser data.
Enquiries and appointment records held by Laura are kept for as long as needed to answer the enquiry, provide the service, resolve a concern and meet applicable legal record-keeping duties. Retention depends on the purpose, any continuing booking relationship and legal requirements. Ask Laura for the period applying to a particular salon record. Technical records are limited by their operational or security purpose.
Your choices & rights
You can disable the street maps and browse without saving device preferences. You choose what to include in an enquiry; without enough contact or service information Laura may be unable to arrange an appointment.
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or a portable copy of your personal information. You can change your map preferences at any time.
- You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact Laura and explain the information or use you are concerned about.
- To make a rights request, email ldhairprofessional@gmail.com. Laura may need enough information to confirm your identity and locate the relevant record.
Photographs
The gallery uses photographs supplied for the studio’s portfolio. Laura’s founder portrait has been digitally restored for clarity while retaining the original event setting; the original photograph is retained. Contact Laura if you appear in a photograph and would like to discuss its use, an alternative description or removal.
Privacy concerns
Please contact Laura if you have a concern. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator.
